I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
